"Memory is a funny thing. When I was in the scene I hardly paid it any attention. I never stopped to think of it as something that would make a lasting impression, certainly never imagined that 18 years later I would recall it in such detail."

Well those are my favourite lines taken from the novel as titled. Guess what, I finished the book, little-old-not-so-bookworm me managed to finish all 11 chapters, approximately 400 pages of a novel in 6 days.

I "can't especially" say that this book is the greatest for the fact that I am not a heavy novel reader, hence I cannot compare it to any other. I liked the language though. This piece by Haruki Murakami managed to keep me busy for a week, thumbs up. When I wanted to borrow the book, I was fairly told that along with its beautiful flowery words, it also contains 18sx-ish stuff. I laughed at that moment. Oh boy was I surprised by the way the writer wrote on "those" scenes when I finally found them! Very detail indeed LOL .

It's basically a story of 3 friends which complicates somewhat to a triangle love and the plot deepens and conflicts came from every angle. There's this character I liked in this novel, the way he speaks - Nagasawa. Reminds me very much of my classmate from secondary school. I laughed alone reading his dialogues.

Personally, I know this is made as a story, a novel, but personally for me, I wouldn't have gone for a friend's girlfriend. Even after the friend died. But who am I to say all these. We may plan all we want but Allah has better plans for us. So let's say if I were to be in the shoes of Toru Watanabe ( I really like his name hahahhaaha ) , I wouldn't go for Naoko , but then again I wouldn't bump into Midori if I didn't huh?

It all started with a normal family dining at a restaurant, when suddenly I heard a gunshot. I noticed straight away it was someone at the front table. It was a boy.

He asked for money from the cashier. Funny thing was, he ignored the guests running away from the restaurant, heck even the guard ran away wth ! All my family members ran out while I was still stuck inside. Then at this moment jugak la, when I wanted to run he started chasing like a mad person. Punya la banyak orang lain boleh dikejar aku jugak dia mau kejar. Crazy kid !

Well I calmly devised a plan, and tried to get his blindspot. Restaurant had 2 exits. When the time was right I made a dash for it. To my disbelief he saw me, like he was aiming for me after all zzzzzzzzzzz.

BANG !

Oh my , he fired ! but I kept in mind that it is quite impossible to land an accurate shot with just a handgun with this kind of distance. So I ran. Zig-zaged as I tried to confuse him. He was mad, he shot like crazy, hit the wall quite a few times gahhh.

At this point, a thought crossed my mind as to why is there no security guards coming to get this brat? LOL. It was just a swift thought.

BANG !

There he goes again with his rampaging shots. I think I evaded about 7-8 bullets already. Good grief.

I cast a glance above my shoulder. Why the hell is he gaining on me? Am I running too slow? or is he just freaking fast?!

I decided to change levels. Upstairs or downstairs? Apparently all the escalators I see are all going up. So up it is.

I tried to hide but this insane kid knows I'm here. It's like he's a cyborg who is targeting me it just doesn't make sense anymore. I ran again, but I was blocked with a dead end. I had to confront him now.

I grabbed a few books and threw at him , in hope that it blocks his view, and that he doesn't shoot blindly. I managed to grab hold of him but his @!!$! gun is pointed at me !!!

As we struggled on the floor suddenly I heard my SMS tone.

I woke up, it was a bad dream. A rough one indeed. I felt tired, after all that running. I'd prefer to have blank dreams as usual rather than dreams like this.

Keeping things to yourself is usually the best way to do things, well for me that is. But it's not easy. Not at all. Sometimes you will need to go out of that shell and express yourself, to be noticed, to be accepted.

Have you ever thought of what kind a of person are you? in the sense of how you approach people or deal with stuffs. Are you a direct person? or an indirect person?

Walking about in certain public places, let's say shopping malls. Here's the scenario, in shopping malls, a closed air conditioned place, smoking is definitely forbidden in it. But what you see is an idiot (sorry) smoking happily. Question- what is your course of action when you see this? and how do you carry out whatever you plan to do? Of course if you too are a fellow smoker you wouldn't mind him I guess. I'm talking about the ones who hates smokers and cigarette smoke. WOULD you confront that person directly, and politely say please don't smoke here? or you would try to keep a distance, indirectly showing that you don't like it.

Now, why do we go for direct approach? I think it's because we want immediate result. We want to show that we are right and we are trying to tell the wrong-doer or whatever you call the person to change whatever he or she is doing that distresses you. Direct approach, never fails to make someone "hate" you though. Although that "hate" is very subjective and for how long it lasts, is another matter. Maybe just the spur of the moment, then it goes away after thinking, or it stays for a little while longer.

As for the indirect approach, which I think is the more popular one,usually we do this for the fact that it's the softer choice of the two. What I meant here is that this style is the "jaga hati orang" approach, that's the term that can be used in Malay. That's one of the reason that I can think of. However sometimes I wonder, by using this approach, are we actually cheating ourselves? in trying to make other people happy, we share, we tolerate something that we actually don't want. Well, maybe "cheating" is too harsh of a word. Perhaps we're just closing one eye and go along with it. Or we're kind enough to bear with it.

Personally, I'm a 40/60 guy on the direct/indirect matter. Oh well. Doesn't matter I guess whichever method you apply. It's like in football, either you play 30 passes together before you score a goal like Barcelona, or you can play a long high ball just like the old Bolton Wanderers team and score. At the end of the day , both yields results. It's all good then. Peace.

went to Alamanda today to meet up a few of my housemates before I go back to Tawau. We watched this superhero movie together. Good movie, I like the fact that the hero had to be imaginative and creative to utilize their power. Thumbs up!

When you were younger (or maybe still young when you were reading this) , I'm fairly sure that in your primary school days, the class teacher would ask you, what would you want to be when you grow up? what is your ambition?

And for most of time, the usual choices of working field would be :

1) doctor
2) policeman
3) businessman

and for some, funny they can even go for these ! (no disrespect)

3) postmen

Well, I remember for the first few years, I always wrote doctor, policemen, followed by sportsmen. But slowly, I became more and more interested in a job. It was - pilot.

I guess that ambition was very much influenced by my late father, who loves to travel around. So I said to myself , when I grow up, I'll be a pilot and bring the whole family around the world! ah yes, I was so innocent.

Knowing that, my dad told me to take care of my eyesight. Heck I was even carrot-crazy, I eat carrot everyday because they said it's good for the eyes. Upon leaving secondary school , they had this eyesight test. I was so proud that I had a perfect 10 vision !

BUT,

There's a saying, that goes like this, "Men can plan all they want, but God has His own ways".

Not to say that the chance of being a pilot is all gone, but the more I grew up, the more I realized that it was less likely to happen. Dad liked the idea, but Mom never approved it, she was worried of my safety. I'm lost for words. Forced to do something else.

In the end, I tried to go for Acturial Science - no luck. The next closest thing to pilot would be engineering then. So here I am, currently in my Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering programme, while already possessing a diploma in it.

Until today to be honest, I still don't know if I'm really into being an engineer. This ain't no easy work. I wonder if I should go and do piloting after I finish my degree, or just continue with my masters...

I find this song very interesting,

particularly because of the curiosity instilled into this song,

on to who is this song actually entitled to?

Is it the singer's girlfriend? Or is it basically a song for friends, good close friends?

The word "love" here plays a big part onto who it may be directed to.

Yes everybody , aku sekarang tengah cuti semester , 4 bulan. so memandangkan kakak aku ni mo pindah rumah sini , and byk kawan aku balik bulan julai onwards , aku pun decided utk stay 2 bulan di KL then another 2 months would be in tawau.

TBH, aku sebenarnya xsuka duduk lama2 di KL ni. Aku lagi gemar ber"bosan2" di tawau drpd di KL ni. Don't ask why, it's like that.Im not the type that goes shopping, and I really hate the fact that in KL its f%#@ked up with jams, and anywhere you go it would always take at least an hour.

I got no real plans, no real activities to fill my days here. Well at least I had a good badminton game this morning with my in-law.

Quite the busy man with activities lately , much to do with sports .

I have been playing badminton , playing futsal , playing zombie killing game , mini jungle trekking+picnic and playing pool . In the process I have met my old friends and also made new friends. I think it's kinda funny that my holiday always gets interesting only when it's about to end LOL .

Well this year I celebrated my birthday in KL , so it was a small one . And I got an iPod Touch as my present <3 . Been busy with it .

Overall this year , only 4 persons chose to wish me by sms , well people now go with facebook .For the first time after so long the notification keeps on coming. Lol , was happy nevertheless , wishes are good and I accept them in any kind of form . Thank you very much .
